    1. This category honours the industry contributions of a senior female professional from the Egyptian and North African oil and gas sector who has carved a successful corporate career and has made significant contributions to the industry.

      CRITERIA

      • Female professional with 10+ years of work experience in the oil and gas industry, and must be a Director or Senior for at least two years in a technical leadership or strategic management position

      • Must be an Egyptian or North Africa region national working in the region

      • High performing individual who has taken initiatives to improve business performance, management and leadership structures, internal processes, added value to projects, and has contributed immensely to the growth of the  business

      • An excellent communicator and has left a lasting impression on the industry

      • Successfully demonstrated leadership skills including but not limited to:

        • Vision

        • Communication

        • Adaptability

        • Mentorship

        • Empowerment

        • Commitment

      • Nominations can be made by the individual directly, additionally, Companies may nominate more than one employee/individual in this category

      Please provide the following documents in support of your entry:

      • Candidate’s CV summarising their experience in the industry and with the business.

      • Cover letter summarising why the individual has been nominated (not more than 1,000 words). Your cover letter must ‘tell the story’ while also seeking to cover the specific criteria as set out in each category.

      • Recommendations from the candidate’s team members, business stakeholders, and/or clients supporting display of exemplary leadership skills by the candidate.

      • Information about speaking engagements and/or mentorship activities, if any

      • Articles, publications, if any

      • Evidence of industry awards/recognition received, if any

  • CATEGORY 2 : NEX-GEN FEMALE OF THE YEAR AWARD

      This category honours the contribution of a young, upcoming female professional who is a high performing individual and has consistently demonstrated the potential to be a future business and industry leader.

      CRITERIA

      • Female professional (between 20 – 35 years old)

      • Must be an Egyptian or North Africa region national working in the region

      • The professional must be in a technical role in the oil and gas industry, and can
        work within either the plant, field or office

      • 3+ years of work experience in technical arenas of oil and gas industry with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

      • High performing individual that has taken initiatives to improve processes, added value to projects, built excellent rapport with mentors and colleagues, and has contributed immensely to the business within which they work

      • Nominations can be made by the individual directly, additionally, Companies may nominate more than one employee/individual in this category

      Please provide the following documents in support of your entry:

      • Identity proof in support of the professional’s age, and a copy of their degree

      • Cover letter summarising why the individual has been nominated (not more than 1000 words). Your cover letter must ‘tell the story’ while also seeking to cover the specific criteria as set out in each category.

      • Detailed evidence supporting the entry including but not limited to:

        • Projects the individual has undertaken and how they have displayed their potential in these projects

        • Initiatives taken within the workplace to demonstrate peer-to-peer learning and mentorship

        • Recommendations from the professional’s supervisor, business stakeholders, and/or clients

        • Successfully demonstrated sound technical knowledge and operational expertise

      • Successfully demonstrated future leadership skills including but not limited to:

  • CATEGORY 3 : EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR CHAMPIONING INCLUSION & DIVERSITY

    1. This category honours regional oil and gas companies’ contribution in promoting gender diversity and inclusion within the oil and gas business.

      CRITERIA

      • Oil and gas companies including but not limited to NOCs, IOCs, Service Providers, OEMs, Technology and Solution Providers, with an office and active operations in Egypt and North Africa

      • Key initiatives taken in the last 2 years to promote gender inclusion and diversity including but not limited to:

        • Establishment and/or successful running of In-house Women’s Networks

        • Initiatives taken to hire more women in departments and teams

        • Initiatives taken to mentor and advance women in their roles, progressing their career within the business

        • Initiatives taken to close pay gaps between genders

        • Initiatives taken to bring women back into the workforce post a break in their careers

        • Inclusion and diversity programmes initiated and successfully run for at least two years

      Please provide the following documents in support of your entry:

      • Cover letter summarising the entry and the organisation’s initiatives in promoting gender diversity and inclusion (not more than 1000 words). Your cover letter must ‘tell the story’ while also seeking to cover the specific criteria as set out in each category.

      • Detailed evidence supporting the entry including but not limited to:

        • Number of employees in the business across all verticals elaborating on male-female ratio within each of these verticals

        • Information about diversity and mentorship programmes for women either run by the business or the business has nominated team members for external programmes and conferences

        • Information about “Returnship” programmes, if any, promoting the return of women into the workforce. These can be for technical as well as non-technical roles

      • Internal employee surveys, if any, sharing reviews about employee satisfaction with the business

      • Evidence of awards/recognition received for promoting inclusion and diversity, if any

      • Publications, if any, that the business may have written in relation to diversity and inclusion in the business

      • Please ensure that any evidence submitted such as recommendations received, employee surveys, publications, and/or information about diversity and mentorship programmes to support the nomination should not be older than 1 April 2016 and not later than 1 April 2017.
