Salma Al Hajeri
Vice President - Operations, MENA and Russia
Salma Al Hajeri is the VP Operations for MENA and Russia at Mubadala Petroleum (MP) Company. Salma is responsible for overseeing the performance of the non-operating assets and directing the portfolio of MP in MENA and Russia regions, which includes 10% stake in Shorouk Block that has Zohr Project, the largest gas discovery ever made in Egypt and in the Mediterranean Sea.
Prior to this role, Salma was the first UAE female to manage a key international project in MP’s SEA business where she was responsible for leading a multi-discipline team in the evaluation of the development options for commercializing multi-trillion cubic feet offshore gas discoveries made by MP in 2013-2014.
Prior to joining MP, Salma worked in ADNOC - Onshore Company (previously ADCO) where she initiated and managed many successful projects like ADCO’s CO2-EOR Pilot Project which is the first CO2 EOR project in the Middle East.
Salma holds a BSc in electrical engineering from U.A.E University, an MEng in petroleum engineering from the Petroleum Institute – UAE, and MBA from Abu Dhabi University. She has been in the oil and gas industry for more than 17 years.
