EGYPS is launching its Young Professionals Programme, taking place from 14 - 16 February 2022. Our aim is to give the industry students a clear insight of the industry that they are about to join, to allow them to return to their universities and colleges with a positive message to relay to their fellow students. The programme will bring together the passion and talents of industry students, young professionals and emerging leaders onsite at EGYPS 2022.

PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
  • To provide industry students with a clear insight of the oil and gas industry
  • To educate students on the latest oil and gas technological advancements with demonstrations
    from industry giants exhibiting at EGYPS 2022
  • Create a connection between industry students, young professionals and emerging leaders
  • Introduce the industry students to future career opportunities in the oil and gas industry
  • Offer a platform for today’s energy leaders to connect with the future work force
FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

ExxonMobil Field Trip

On 23rd of November 2021, 16 industry students from Mansoura university, Alexanderia University, Arab academy for science and technology, Cairo University, AUC, Zagazig University, Tanta University , and British University in Egypt and Suez university visited ExxonMobil plant in Asher. Students had the opportunity to learn about the lubricants industry, the associated machinery and incorporated industrial automation.
This fieldtrip enhanced their knowledge on lubricants aspect of the petroleum downstream industry, and got an overview of the industry from crude oil to end consumer. Students also got an overview of ExxonMobil safety and quality standards, in addition to ExxonMobil operations integrity pillars.

Petrojet Field Trip

On the 7th of February, 18 industry students from Arab academy for science and technology and British University in Egypt visited Petrojet Maddia Yard located in Alexandria.

INDUSTRY YOUNG PROFFESIONALS GET INVOLVED

The Egypt Petroleum Show provides young professionals and university students with a significant platform that allows them to actively participate in a series of technical and professional skills sessions. The Youth Lounge will host these sessions and act as a meeting place for students, petroleum industry professionals, and top executives from NOCs and IOCs.

EGYPS VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME

EGYPS Young Professionals provides a volunteering programme for industry students by offering them a dedicated role at the event which will promote a positive impact on the community and help students to develop new skills. Which will, in turn, be beneficial to developing leadership, communication and problem solving skills all the while learning to be a team player.
