President Middle East and Africa
Walid Sheta is Schneider Electric’s President of the Middle East & Africa Zone as of November 2021. MEA Zone covers 6 clusters, serving around 80 countries. Prior to that and since 2016 he was the Cluster President of Schneider Electric North East Africa & Levant, which covers Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Malta, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan & Iraq.
Beginning his career with Schneider Electric in 1994, Walid held various positions within the company across the globe, in UAE, France, and Egypt.
In April 2010, Walid became in charge of the business development and marketing of Schneider Electric Northeast Africa. In 2013, he was appointed Vice-President for the African zone, where he led the strategy deployment in the continent; and in 2014, Walid became President for Schneider Electric Anglophone West Africa which covers Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
Over the course of his career with Schneider Electric, Walid has developed a broad range of expertise in project management, production planning, sales, business development, marketing, and strategy.
Born in Alexandria, Egypt, Walid Sheta graduated with a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences in France.
